Offset Slammed For Anti-Gay Message In Rap Verse: ‘I Cannot Vibe With Queers’

Offset just set the internet off. The Migos rapper is under fire for his latest verse, in which he raps, ‘I cannot vibe with queers.’ See what angry fans on Twitter had to say about his controversial lyrics.

Offset, 26, woke up to an internet firestorm today. The Migos rapper and YFN Lucci teamed up for a highly anticipated new track titled, “Boss Life”. However, when some fans listened to the song, they were instantly outraged after hearing Offset rap the lyrics, “I cannot vibe with queers.” The verse, which can be heard at the .23 mark in the below video, angered people on Twitter, with some accusing him of being “homophobic” among other things. Other Twitter users even called on his fiancée, rapper Cardi B, 25, to speak out and even leave him. Offset has yet to address the backlash from his controversial lyrics.

The internet backlash over “Boss Life” came at the same time Offset has been at the center of numerous alleged sex scandals, including the most recent involving Celina Powell. The Instagram model came forward on December 28 to claim that Offset is the father of her unborn baby, a girl. Powell even provided ultrasound photos, which she later claimed looked like Offset as a child. The rapper quickly denied the claims and had his lawyers serve her with a cease and desist letter, something she told HollywoodLife.com she isn’t worried about. Powell is sticking by her story, and demanding the rapper take a DNA test.

Powell said she is “1000% positive” Offset is the father of her baby, adding that she and the rapper met back in February 2017 at a music festival. “I have known about the pregnancy for several months now, I am almost in my third trimester,” she revealed in late December 2017. Offset and Cardi B have yet to directly address Powell’s claims.

Here’s what people on Twitter had to say about Offset’s controversial lyrics…

Liam Neeson slammed for defending Dustin Hoffman's alleged sexual misconduct

Liam Neeson is under fire for defending several high-profile men accused of inappropriate behavior and sexual misconduct and suggesting that there’s “a bit of a witch-hunt happening.”

Appearing on the Irish talk show The Late Late Show, the action star addressed the recent deluge of sexual misconduct allegations against famous men. “There is a bit of a witch hunt happening, too,” the actor said. “There’s some people, famous people, being suddenly accused of touching some girl’s knee or something, and suddenly they’re being dropped from their program or something.”

Neeson went on to speak specifically about the allegations against Garrison Keillor and Dustin Hoffman. Keillor was fired in November from Minnesota Public Radio for “inappropriate behavior,” while Hoffman has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. Among them is actress Kathryn Rossetter, who alleges Hoffman repeatedly groped her during their 1983 Broadway production of Death of a Salesman.

“The Dustin Hoffman thing, I’m on the fence about that,” Neeson told host Ryan Tubridy. “Because when you’re doing a play and you’re with your family, other actors, technicians, you do silly things. You do silly things and it becomes kind of superstitious; if you don’t do it every night you think it’s going to jinx the show. I think Dustin Hoffman was… I’m not saying I’ve done similar things like what he did. Apparently, he touched another girl’s breast and stuff. But it’s childhood stuff what he was doing.”

Neeson was then cut off by Tubridy, who pointed out that it’s important to have conversations about these issues. Neeson agreed, adding, “There is a movement happening. It’s healthy and it’s across every industry. The focus seems to be on Hollywood at the minute. But it’s across every industry. I’m a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador, and a very proud one. And I get sent facts and figures and stuff. And if you read the stuff I’ve read about how female laborers are being treated in farms, ranches, and all the rest of it, it’s chilling.”

The actor’s comments drew criticism on social media:

‘Friends’ Slammed By Millennials As ‘Transphobic’, ‘Homophobic’ & ‘Sexist’ — See Scathing Tweets

It turns out many millennials don’t want to be there for ‘Friends.’ Now that its arrived on Netflix, young people are slamming the show for being homophobic and sexist!

Friends was such an incredible time capsule of the 1990’s and early aughts. Unfortunately some of the jokes from back in that day don’t translate very well with millennials that weren’t around to experience the era. The iconic series has finally dropped on Netflix and young people viewing it for the first time are finding big problems with sexism, gay jokes and even transphobia. People are calling it out on Twitter, especially for  how “uncomfortable” Chandler seemed at people thinking he might be gay, as well as the jokes at the expense of his transgender father played by actress Kathleen Turner who starred in a Las Vegas drag revue called “Viva Las Gaygas.”

The new viewers are also incredibly shocked about how white the show is, as there were SO few people of color that ever appeared on the sit-com even though it was set in New York City, probably the most diverse metropolis in the U.S. In all of those seasons there was only one recurring black character, as Ayesha Tyler played a paleontologist girlfriend to Joey who ended up later falling for Ross. Gabrielle Union had a one show appearance as a girl who both Joey and Ross wanted to date and Ross had an Asian girlfriend early in the series, but he later dumped her for Rachel. The six main characters mainly interacted with each other and didn’t seem to ever encounter people who weren’t also white.

Viewers are also taking issue with how Rachel hired a hot young guy as her assistant just because she desperately wanted to date him, which is so not cool in this day and age of workplace sexual harassment and misconduct Fat-shaming was also more prevalent back then as the characters would make fun of how Monica was overweight growing up. When the gang watches a videotape of her prom night, Joey shouts “Some girl ate Monica!” Yeah, that wouldn’t fly today.

Ross’ plotline where he didn’t want to hire Freddie Prinze Jr.’s sensitive male nanny character for daughter Emma because he feared he was gay is getting totally bashed, as is Chandler freaking out upon finding out that many women thought he was gay when first meeting him. Ross’ lesbian ex-wife Carol and her sexual orientation is the butt of some jokes that definitely don’t play in this day and age, even though back when the show aired it was applauded for including a LGBT couple (she later married Susan, the woman she left Ross for).

Here’s a sampling of some of the Friends fury on Twitter:

Chelsea Handler Slammed For ‘Anti-Gay’ Tweet Against Lindsey Graham

Chelsea Handler loves to say controversial things, but fans think she crossed a line with a seemingly anti-gay tweet against Sen. Lindsey Graham. We’ve got what she wrote.

Whoa! Chelsea Handler seems to have a hard time finding the balance between comedy and just plain being a bully. The 42-year-old called out South Carolina’s Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham as allegedly being in the closet after hearing him speak in a meeting with President Donald Trump, 71. On Jan. 10 she tweeted “Holy, f**k f**k. I just the video of Trump’s bipartisan ‘meeting’ yesterday. Hey, @LindseyGrahamSC what kind of d**k sucking video do they have on you for you 2 be acting like this? Wouldn’t coming out be more honorable?” Yikes! Lindsay has a high voice and a southern accent and many fans are calling Chelsea’s comment anti-gay.

In his meeting with Trump on immigration reform, Graham heaped praise upon the president, someone who he used to bash when he was just a candidate. “I’ve been doing this for ten years—I don’t think I’ve seen a better chance to get this done than I do right now, because of you,” the never married 62-year-old gushed to Trump. Chelsea seemed to imply that the prez had some sort of sordid video on him for the senator to become such a puppet for everything the commander-in-chief wants.

Graham has a longstanding record against gay rights, supporting the Defense of Marriage Act and opposing gay marriage. But now Chelsea is the one being called anti-gay for her tweet about the senator. Here’s her initial tweet followed by the outrage:

Donald Trump Slammed For Calling Haiti & African Nations ‘S***hole Countries’ — Scathing Tweets

Disgusting! Donald Trump has allegedly called Haiti and African nations ‘s**thole’ countries while saying how he’d love more immigrants from white Norway. We’ve got the scathing reactions.

If this isn’t a sure sign of inherent racism, what is? Reports from the Washington Post and NBC News say that Donald Trump, 71, bashed immigrants from mainly black and latino countries while longing for white immigrants from countries such as Norway. “Haiti? Why do we want people from Haiti here?” the president reportedly said during a meeting with Senators Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) on Jan. 11. Then the subject turned to African countries where he allegedly said “Why do we want these people from all these s**thole countries here? We should have more people from places like Norway.” Trump just met with Norway’s Prime Minister Erna Solberg on Jan. 10.

His gross comment came as he was having bipartisan discussions on a path towards an immigration deal. He already wants to send back Haitians and residents of El Salvador who fled their nations are were granted temporary protected status in the U.S. following violence and natural disasters in their home countries. In the case of Salvadorans, some have been here for decades and he wants to ship over 200,000 back to the murder capital of the world and a place many have never known. A source told NBC News that he questioned why America should take in people from dark-skinned countries while being briefed on changes to the visa lottery system

Needless to say, Trump is getting hit with accusations that he’s a racist and a white supremacist by wanting immigrants from an incredibly white country like Norway while dissing nations with a darker citizenry:

Shane Dawson: YouTuber Slammed For Calling A 6-Year-Old ‘Sexy’ & ‘Googling Naked Babies’

YouTube star Shane Dawson is getting dragged hard for a podcast where joked about googling naked babies and calling a little girl ‘sexy.’ We’ve got the details.

This should be a lesson to all up and coming YouTubers that things you do and say to shock people can come back to haunt you years later once you break big. Shane Dawson, 29, made some really crude jokes about pedophilia and now they have come back to bite him in the butt. The comments were made in a podcast six years ago, but they’re really sick and someone compiled them into a five-minute video titled “Shane Dawson is a pedophile. Here’s proof” that dropped on Jan. 10. Shane said, “Here’s my justification for pedophilia: People have foot fetishes, people have fetishes about everything, that’s fine, do your thing. So why is it when somebody looks at and Googles like ‘naked baby’ on Google and j**ks off to it, they can get arrested? I don’t understand that.”

But wait, there’s more! He continued, “Here’s the worst part of it, I actually went to Google… I didn’t want to see child porn but I just thought ‘okay let me pretend like I’m a pedophile for a second.’ So I typed in ‘naked baby’. First of all I don’t know why anybody would be turned on by that. But they were sexy…I’m kidding,” he laughed. He also went on to describe and encounter with a six-year-old girl were they started discussing how many followers they had. The little one revealed that she was a cheerleader and showed him her Instagram photos and he said, “First of all, I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but she’s like sexy.” He also said that 12-year-old girls with tattoos are also “sexy.”

Open the floodgates because Twitter had a field day as the video went wide on Wednesday, with his name quickly becoming a trending topic and haters starting a #shanedawsonisoverparty to celebrate his possible YouTube downfall. However he’s got plenty of stans who came to his rescue, bringing up that the highly edited version of the podcast left out where he said “having sex with or touching kids is disgusting.”

Shane went on a 14 minute fiery tear about it on his YouTube channel following the controversy. “I am NOT a f***ing pedophile,” he yelled in a response video where he slammed everyone for taking his soundbites out of context. “Here’s my statement cause everyone says ‘Shane, make a statement.’ I am not a f***king pedophile. I think it’s disgusting that people are saying I’m a f***ing pedophile because of some sh**y ass jokes from six years ago on a podcast,” he yelled unrepentantly. He went on to say that it was his “thing” and gimmick that he used to shock people earlier in his YouTube career. He blamed it on insecurity at the time and that he “wasn’t confident to make smarter jokes.” He added he did some “f***ed up comedy stuff” that he wasn’t proud of, including making racist, homophobic and fat-shaming jokes in the past. Well, at least he’s taking ownership of his mistakes.

Here’s the video compilation of Shane’s disturbing statements:

Way to go! Instagram user Melissa Gibson, 29, clapped back at trolls who told her she’s ‘too heavy’ to date her boyfriend. See what she said, here.

Body shaming is never okay! After receiving hateful comments regarding her weight, Melissa Gibson, 29, is now fighting back. The Instagram user shared a photo of herself and her boyfriend over the holidays and was overwhelmed by the nasty responses she received. A lot of the comments detailed that she was too heavy for her skinny boyfriend. How disgusting, right? While Melissa was extremely offended, she was more taken aback by the attack on her relationship, according to PEOPLE. “As a fat woman on the internet, comments about my weight and health are very common. But these were especially disturbing because they were in reference to my relationship on a post that was about us celebrating the New Year together,” she told the news outlet.

In response to her haters, Melissa reposted the photo with a new caption, “When taking a picture in a sparkly dress next to the man you love makes people comment about your body, question your relationship, make judgments about him for loving you. Our relationship is political. Even though we both know how natural and right it feels. And if the world won’t just let us be, we will keep fighting for our love, for our space, for our right to be seen, accepted without question, and celebrated.” READ MORE OF MELISSA’S POST HERE.

Sarah Hyland Slammed For Acting ‘Drunk’ In Globes After Party Video & She’s Not Apologizing For It

Sarah Hyland upset fans when she shot a video acting totally drunk after the Golden Globes appearing to let a bell hop grope her. Now she says she’s not sorry about it!

What a blunder! On a night where women were standing up to sexual harassment and assault at the 2018 Golden Globes through #TimesUp, actress Sarah Hyland, 27, participated in the most tone-deaf video ever. The Modern Family star attended the Warner Brothers/InStyle after party and participated in a video segment for the magazine involving things that happen in an elevator with an elderly bellhop. In her piece, Sarah played that she was totally wasted, tossing back from bottle of champagne and having “John the Bell Hop” grab her to prop her upright and later grab her and pull her into his crotch when she pretended to fall out of the elevator.

“2018 starting off great. Tip #1: When you drink alone. Drink alone w/#JohntheBellHop @instylemagazine#goldenglobes party” she captioned the short video that appeared on the mag’s Twitter and Instagram page as well as her own. Wearing a sexy black sequined low cut halter gown, she hung all over him while appearing totally hammered. She’s seen grabbing his cap as he puts his arm around Sarah’s waist to keep her upright. She then tries to exit the elevator and falls backwards right into John as he pulls her into his crotch as the doors closes. Umm, on a night where women’s empowerment was the theme of the evening, appearing to get wasted and letting a strange man grope her totally sent the wrong message!

Sarah got dragged hard on social media for her helpless drunk chick portrayal, but wasn’t sorry about it, tweeting “#JohntheBellHop is a very nice old man. FYI. *completely sober.*” But her fans were outraged with both the actress and InStyle for such a tone-deaf piece considering that we’re in a time of women embracing and taking back power from sexual harassers and abusers. Here’s the video and the Twitter outrage:

Mwbuzzers, what do you think of Sarah’s “drunk” video? Is it tasteless in the days of #TimesUp or did she just miss the mark at trying to be funny

James Franco Slammed By ‘Breakfast Club’ Star Ally Sheedy Over Globes Win in Cryptic #MeToo Tweets

Actress Ally Sheedy tweeted during the Golden Globes that something James Franco did made her leave the entertainment business. See the tweets here.

Ally Sheedy, the 80s Brat Pack star known best for movies like The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s Fire, wasn’t celebrating on January 7 when James Franco won the Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical award at the 2018 Golden Globes. When James was giving his acceptance speech for playing Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist, Ally was watching and tweeting some serious shade. The question remains: what did James allegedly do? “James Franco just won. Please never ask me why I left the film/TV business,” Ally tweeted during the Golden Globes. James has yet to address Ally’s tweets publicly.

In two subsequent tweets, she both mentioned her fellow 80s star (and current Mr. Robot star) Christian Slater, and employed the #MeToo tag. “Ok wait. Bye. Christian Slater and James Franco at a table on @goldenglobes #MeToo,” Ally tweeted. “Why is a man hosting? Why is James Franco allowed in? Said too much. Nite love ya.”

Again, no context as to what James, and apparently Christian, allegedly did. Using #MeToo implies that something discriminatory, possibly harassment, allegedly occurred. Ally declined to name any specific incidents, though it’s implied that something James allegedly did made her stop acting on TV and in films. James and Ally have only worked together once, when he directed her in an off-Broadway production of The Long Shrift in 2014. Her last onscreen appearance was a cameo in 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse. Ally has since deleted her tweets, seen below:

Ally Sheedy's Tweets

Ally isn’t the only person who criticized James’ appearance at the Golden Globes. Some women spoke out on Twitter about the “hypocrisy” of James wearing all black and a Time’s Up pin in solidarity with the movement. They’re bringing up the incident from several years ago in which he was accused of sliding into a 17-year-old girl’s DMs; he was 35. He later confessed to it.

HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Ally’s rep for comment.

Mwbuzzers, what do you think Ally is talking about in her tweets? Let us know.
