Here's Exactly What Sam Rockwell Said During His Censored SNL Skit

Sam Rockwell made his debut hosting Saturday Night Live this week, but that wasn’t the only reason he made headlines. The Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri actor accidentally used profanity in a PBS parody skit about a science teacher who struggles to keep calm when his two students, Josh (Mike Day) and Loni (Cecily Strong), fail to understand the lesson.

“I just poured the oil into the water. The oil is?” Rockwell as Mr. Science asks. “False!” Josh replies. “This isn’t a true or false , Josh. You can’t be this f**king stupid,” Rockwell retorts, immediately catching his slip up. “I’m sorry. Kids aren’t stupid.” Luckily, the F-bomb was bleeped out in the nick of time. Watch the moment as it unfolded above.

Sam Rockwell drops F-bomb during ‘SNL’ sketch

Frances McDormand may have been unnecessarily bleeped by the censors during her Golden Globes acceptance speech, but Sam Rockwell had the opposite problem while hosting Saturday Night Live.

The actor accidentally dropped an F-bomb during the live broadcast in a sketch in which he plays the host of a PBS science series who gets a frustrated when his student guests (Cecily Strong and Mikey Day) don’t follow what he’s trying to teach them.

“You can’t be this f—ing stupid!” he tells them, to gasps from the crowd and shocked reactions from his costars. He added, “I’m sorry,” before continuing on with the sketch.

SNL has seen a fair number of accidental F-bombs over its lengthy history — most recently, Kristen Stewart dropped one during her opening monologue last year when she said, “We’ve got a great show, and I totally care that I’m here because it’s the coolest f—ing thing ever.”

Head here for a full history of SNL’s F-bombs. This post will be updated with the full (bleeped, we’re sure) sketch once it’s available.

‘SNL’: Sam Rockwell Drops F Bomb & Fans Freak That It’s The ‘Legacy’ Of ‘Sh*thole’

Did you catch that?! Sam Rockwell just accidentally said ‘f**k’ on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and fans are convinced that Donald Trump’s ‘sh*thole countries’ insult has left it’s mark on us all! Check it out right here!

Sam Rockwell, 49, just stepped in it. The recent Golden Globe recipient is this week’s host of Saturday Night Live and in one of the episode’s first sketches he plays a science teacher on a TV show trying to teach kids about the different types of matter. He pours oil into a glass of water and asks the kids to say what they see except they aren’t able to keep up. That’s when Sam drops the F bomb! In no time Twitter exploded with incredulous responses! Head right here for loads more images from season 43 of the hit series!

“I had no idea who Sam Rockwell is so I looked him up on IMDB. And…I don’t think there’s ever been a person who has been in more things that I’ve never heard of. But he said f**k’ on TV so I think he’s lovely,” one fan wrote. ” “Sam Rockwell accidentally saying “f**k” on SNL isn’t nearly as offensive as what our president has said this week,” another chimed in. “Sam Rockwell just said F**K on SNL!!! Well, if @realDonaldTrump can say sh*thole in meetings…” yet another wrote. It’s almost impossible not to compare Sam’s flub to President Donald Trump‘s allegedly racist comment this week. But has the president’s remarks changed the game?

“Anyone with their panties in an uproar over Sam Rockwell’s F-bomb on SNL needs to take a look around the country and shut the f**k up,” another viewer said. It’s really hard to argue with that!

‘SNL’: Pete Davidson Raps An Ode To Stanley Tucci Played By Sam Rockwell & It’s Genius

Tucci Gang! Where you at?! Pete Davidson and host Sam Rockwell just paid tribute to fellow actor Stanley Tucci in the best way possible — with a hip-hop anthem! Head here for all the details!

Okay, the comedy powerhouse behind Saturday Night Live just outdid themselves! Pete Davidson, 24, took on rapper alter ego Lil Pump to perform a rousing homage to Stanley Tucci! Haven’t hard of him? No worries! Lil Pump and host Sam Rockwell, 49, are here to educate you! The pair dance their way through a high school while dropping some knowledge on just what makes Stanley Tucci so great! Here’s a choice lyric: “Some of you don’t know the know, that’s that guy from the Hunger Games. Transformer: The Last Knight, Beauty and the Beast and Spotlight.” How about this gem: “I got mad respect for his range, he should’ve Dr. Strange. The Devil Wears Prada was sick! If you don’t like Stan, you’re a dick.” It’s random and weird and wonderful! Check out loads more images from season 43 of the hit comedy show right here!

If you tuned in at all in 2017, then you know that SNL has not shied away from the serious hot-button issues in America and has earned a reputation for sharp comedy in response to troubling political and social issues. Take for instance, when the largely vilified Republican tax plan was about to pass in Dec. Michael Che, 34, commented on Weekend Update that, now that President Donald Trump, 71, has served his purpose, his days are numbered. “You know once they get this tax bill passed, they won’t need Trump anymore,” he said. “They already got what they wanted. I mean… it’s not like they like you. Don’t you think it’s a little odd that they passed this bill at 2 a.m. the same night they found out Flynn was snitching on you? They know something.”

But our favorite sketch of the year has to be when Michael decided to go undercover as a liberal white girl to better understand their way of like. To do this, he donned a blonde wig and became “Gretchen.” He read a Lena Dunham book, he got brunch with friends and he shut down a man when he decided to start mansplaining! When a guy at a dinner part tried to argue that white people struggle as much as any demographic, Gretchen lost her cool! “Your masculinity is mad toxic right now, my ni**a!” Michael replied. Love it!

Sam Rockwell sings and dances through his ‘SNL’ opening monologue

Sam Rockwell is having a pretty good start to 2018 – after winning a Golden Globe last weekend for his role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, the actor kicked off his Saturday Night Live hosting stint with a little song and dance.

“Most of you probably know me as that guy from that movie – not the main guy but the other guy,” he joked in his opening monologue, before wondering if he’s a big shot now that he’s an award winner. “Did I just go from actor to big-ass deal?” he asked the audience. “I’m just as surprised as you are.”

Rockwell then decided to just go “full leading man” and launched into a singing, dancing, ninja-fighting run through the SNL studio.

That leading-man showcase almost included a kiss with Cecily Strong, but she told Rockwell, “We can’t do kissing scenes anymore — we had a whole HR meeting about it.” (Leslie Jones, however, had no qualms — “You know I didn’t go to that meeting,” she said, before planting one on him.)

Watch a portion of the sketch above — this post will be updated with the full video once it’s available.

Stay tuned to Mwbuzz.com for more SNL coverage, including our full recap of Rockwell’s episode.

Sam Rockwell Delivers a Touching Acceptance Speech Covered in Leslie Bibb's Lipstick

While accepting the Golden Globe for best supporting actor for his work on Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Sam Rockwell not only joked about needing Imodium to control his excitement, but also got sentimental when talking about the compassion in this movie — and he did it all with girlfriend Leslie Bibb’s lipstick all over his mouth. Leslie, who said during a preshow interview that she was so excited for Sam to be getting the recognition she thought he deserved, couldn’t help but plant one on him when his name was announced as the winner of his very first Golden Globe.

After gushing over “being in a movie that people see,” Sam closed his speech by thanking Leslie for making him laugh when he takes himself too seriously and urging everyone listening to show the compassion the world needs these days. Cheers to Sam on his first Golden Globe win!
