Hulu: What's coming and going in February

One Tree Hill fans will be overjoyed to see what’s on the list of Hulu’s February 2018 releases. All nine seasons left Netflix back in October, but they’ve found a new streaming home alongside Cougar Town, Everwood, Broad City season 4, and Archer season 5.

Jeff Daniels also stars in a new Hulu original series, The Looming Tower, that’s making its debut on the platform on Feb. 28. Alec Baldwin, Peter Sarsgaard, and Michael Stuhlbarg feature in the 10-episode drama about the rise of Osama bin Laden and how an FBI-CIA rivalry might’ve inadvertently influenced the events of 9/11.

On the movie side of Hulu’s February selections are a few films you might’ve missed in 2017 that are worth a look.

There’s Beach Rats, director Eliza Hittman’s sophomore feature about a teen navigating his summer in Brooklyn and his secret online flirtations with older men. Detroit — Kathryn Bigelow’s film set against the backdrop of the infamous Detroit Riots — brings John Boyega to Hulu, while Tom of Finland brings to life one of the most influential figures of 20th century gay culture.

After Leaving Netflix, One Tree Hill Is Coming to Hulu — All 9 Seasons!

It’s been a long few months for One Tree Hill fans since the show left Netflix in October, but all is right in the world again, because it’s coming to Hulu. BuzzFeed News exclusively confirmed that One Tree Hill will be streaming on Hulu starting on Feb. 1, and your choices won’t be limited to a certain year in high school or status of Nathan and Haley’s relationship — all nine seasons will be available!

In November, OTH cast members including Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, James Lafferty, and Chad Michael Murray came together to support the 18 former cast and crew members who accused the show’s creator, Mark Schwahn, of sexual harassment. Schwahn has since been fired from The Royals, a show he created for E! Entertainment. Despite the backlash against the show’s creator, One Tree Hill fans still have a big place in their hearts for the nostalgic drama and were highly upset by its disappearance from online streaming services. Grab your BFF, because it’s officially time for a marathon!

‘Animaniacs’ Revival: 5 Things To Know About The 2 New Seasons Spielberg Is Bringing To Hulu

All your favorite ‘Animaniacs’ are coming back! The beloved cartoon show is returning and we’ve got all the details!

Get excited! The Animaniacs are returning to TV! Steven Spielberg, 71, the iconic filmmaker and executive producer of the original series, has signed on help bring the cast of lovable characters to Hulu for 2 new seasons, according to Entertainment Weekly. Aren’t all that familiar with this ’90s show? Never fear! We’ve got all the details on what we’re betting will be your new favorite show!

1) Animaniacs is an animated variety show featuring a slew of sketches and several recurring characters. The Warner trio are the main characters including Yakko, Wakko and Dot. They are dog-like critters. But numerous smaller characters like Pinky and the Brain, a pair of mice, one genius and the other idiotic, are fan favorites. Each episode is broken up into 3 parts. Head here to peruse all the classic TV shows that should get rebooted, including some that have!

2) The hit show first aired on Fox Kids from 1993 through 1995. From 1995 to 1998, The WB took over the program and added new episodes as part of their Kids’ WB roster.

3) Fans can expect new episodes as early as 2020 on Hulu. The online streaming provider will also have all 99 episodes of the original show! All our fave shows are returning!

4) From the beginning, every Animaniacs episode has included at least one original score. This is a serious rarity for a modern animated series. In the original run of the show, a 35-piece orchestra and 7 composers were hired to ensure a fresh new piece of music! Wow! It’s a safe bet that will be continuing with new installments!

5) Spielberg released a statement addressing the exciting news. “I am so pleased and proud that Animaniacs will have a home at Hulu,” he wrote, via UPI.com. “Together with Warner Bros., we look to bring new audiences and longtime fans into this wild world of Yakko, Wakko and Dot. I am also excited that the full library of Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures episodes are included in the deal.”

Mwbuzzers, are you as excited as we are for the return Animaniacs!? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
